Office of the Independent Adjudicator

The Office of the Independent Adjudicator (OIA) is an independent body set up to review student complaints. Under the Higher Education Act 2004 the University of South Wales subscribes to the independent scheme for the review of student complaints (including complaints into decisions regarding appeals and student misconduct).

The OIA provides performance statistics on an annual basis; the latest available statistics are from 2013 and are included in the Annual Letter. The Annual Letter documents the University’s record in handling complaints and appeals.

The OIA’s statistics run from January – December rather than by academic session.
