Online Training Material

An online training programme is in place for all new starters and existing staff. The training contains material on; 'Data Protection’, 'Copyright and 'Freedom of Information’. Staff wishing to enrol on the module and get access to the training, can contact the Information Compliance Manager –

The Information Compliance Manager provides termly refresher training for staff as well as bespoke training for faculties and departments upon request.

Individuals already enrolled can access the training through Blackboard

The Information Commissioner’s Office has produced videos on a number of areas relating to data protection to aid understanding of the Act and its implications on staff. “The lights are on” outlines the impact information has on the working environment and how people’s information should be handled.
