Online Training Material

An online training programme is in place for all new starters and existing staff. The training contains material on; 'Data Protection’, 'Copyright and 'Freedom of Information’. Staff wishing to enrol on the module and get access to the training, can contact; Rhys Davies

Individuals already enrolled can access the training through Blackboard

Bespoke Training

The Information Governance team can provide bespoke training to any team within the University who wish to learn more on Data Protection, Copyright, Records Management and Freedom of Information. For further information relating to training on these areas contact the Information Governance Team.

Induction Training

All new University employees are required to attend an induction training session. The “Information Governance for New Starters” session is aimed at providing attendees with a basic understanding of Copyright, Data Protection and Freedom of Information in order that employees understand their legal obligations in relation to the three legislative acts.

The induction training can be taken in a classroom based environment or online.
