Welcome to the University Secretary’s Office.
The Office is led by the University Secretary and Clerk to the Governors William Callaway and comprises the following areas:

Governance

The Governance Unit provides support for the governance and management of the University through administration of the Board of Governors and the Academic Board and their respective committees. It is also responsible for University Calendar and Key Dates, Conferment of Honorary Awards, Risk Management and Internal Audits. Find out more.

Welsh Language

The Welsh Language Unit is responsible for implementing the Welsh Language Standards, in cooperation with the Faculties and Departments, across the University and monitoring compliance with the relevant standards. The Welsh Language Unit are also responsible for co-ordinating the University's Welsh-medium provision, implementing and monitoring the Welsh Language Standards and managing internal and external translations and quality. Compliance

The University Secretary’s Office is responsible for ensuring that the University complies with legislation relating to the use of information, and for promoting good practice in the management of information.

The Information Compliance Team provides advice and guidance on the following subjects: Data Protection, Copyright & IP, Freedom of Information & EIR and Records Management and University Archives. Find out more.
